Many pieces in this portfolio are based on Roman Catholic themes. Although I am an Atheist myself, my father is Irish Catholic which has had a lasting impact on my life. My dad took me to church until I was nine, and we still discuss religion often.

I find religion interesting in how it effects peoples daily lives, routines, and word views. Religion played a huge role in the shaping of societies, and today it shapes individual lives. In my portfolio, I explore the boundaries of what we consider “religion” and examine its deep connection to routine and identity.

Is it ritual or routine? Is it belief or simply practice?
